blog watchers...

A while back Kara and I had a conversation about this whole blogging craze. I told her that it often feels a bit strange when you run into someone and they mention that they've been keeping up with the events in your life. Let me explain a bit. Yes, we have blogs to keep people updated and share what's taking place over the course of time. The fact that people are reading is not odd...that's a good thing.

The part that feels a bit awkward is that some folks don't ever comment. Now, when Kara and I were talking about this, she came up with a great comparison. Let me share...it's like seeing someone at the grocery store, but not waving to say hello. Do you like that? I do! :)

So, if you're out there, let me know (besides, I'm low on comments these days). You don't have to be a registered user...I allow anonymous comments. So, there are no excuses. Come out from behind the curtain. I'm excited to meet you and that way it won't be nearly as awkward the next time we see each other.

Wave hello! :)

Hi Anne,
I love to see pictures and read what you write. You have a great way with words. Thanks for sharing. Also congrats on becoming an aunt of twins. You will be amazed at how much fun twins are and your sister-in-law will find out how little sleep you really need.

Blessings,
Stacy Keen

I enjoy reading your perspective on life--jobs, education, games, friends, and especially your witty/wise/wonderful friend Kara! You two seem to bring out the best in each other. I especially appreciate reading about your school experiences; I wish there were more public school teachers just like you!

Hey Anne -

Way to pour on the guilt!!!

OK, so I do check in on your blog frequently (yours too, Kara). It's fun to see what you all are up to. And let's be honest, you have much more interesting lives than I do. :)

And I'm still waiting for our knitting circle to start.

Is this like a census? :) Haha. Hi Anne, I like reading your blog! And yes, I do avoid people at grocery stores.

So funny - I recently posted something about using Google Analytics on my blog and found random people around the country that read my blog - when I posted about it, so I could figure out who they are - no one came forward and posted a comment. I hope you have better luck with your attempt to figure out who is out there :)

Stacy Keen - Thank you for your kind words! You're far too kind.

Jessica - I am game for another game night! :) Sign me up...and my husband too.

Doreen - I'm blushing. Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I feel loved and appreciated!

Shelly - I think your blog would be fun to read. You should give it a try. I'm ready for the knitting club. Let's get this thing started.

Kelly - It's okay if you don't wave to folks at the grocery store. I often do the same...especially if it's someone from my past I'm not really wanting to "chat" with. :)

Stacy Miller - I added Google Analytics a while back (thanks to Kara's prompting) and since so many people were reading the blog and never left comments, I decided to try this. It's been fun so far.

This is a good idea, I have a counter on my blog and get quite a few hits a day but have no idea WHO they are coming from! I try and comment on everyone's blog I read because I know I enjoy when people comment on mine :) So I think I may steal this idea for a post...

Anyway, I really enjoy reading your blog and I'll try to keep commenting!

Hi Anne,
I am not sure if we have met, but I found your blog from Christy's, and it is likely that we have been at LBC at the same time. I laughed at the grocery store comparison, and so I thought I would say "hello." :)

Hey Anne,
I too pop on to your blog every once in a while to read the "ramblings of a 7th grade teacher". It is so refreshing to read your perspective because you can really tell you love what you do. Besides you guys have so many more exciting things going on in your life, than us old folks. Miss seeing you in Bible study!

I'm reading! It's always fun to keep up on friends even if we only run into each other on rare occasions.

You made a new blog friend out of me for it. :)
