i love...

...the Duggars!

Wow, they are super conservative and I don't quite understand the desire to have 17 (soon-to-be 18) kids. However, they are still so much fun to watch...their hair, the outfits, the homeschooling, all of the "J" names, and romances. Really, what's not to love?

Check 'em out!

P.S. I wonder what non-believers think of this family...and Christians in general!?!? Do they know that not all of us are this extreme?

We watched the 1-hour special on moving into their house and after it was over Todd said, "Oh, that makes me sick to my stomach!! 16 kids?!?".

Needless to say now I'm taping the rest of the marathon to watch when Todd's not around.

I'm fascinated.

I watched the marathon of this show yesterday. The engagement episode was so awkward. Dusty thinks they are mormons.

Kara, I sifted through the family's website and I'm fairly certain they are not mormon. Oh, and Josh and Anna (now married) have their own website! I can't get enough of the insanity. :)

Since at least 3/4 of my TV watching is that of the TLC variety I am pretty stoked to get to know the Duggars. Non christians probably think they are freaks and as a Christian and teacher I think "they should put their kids in public school, the more the merry-er". I am pretty much obsessed with the Gosselins, thoroughly enjoy the LPs and love the weird medical discovery shows too! Good to know I am not the only one, thanks Anne :)

We don't have cable, so I've been unable to watch this series and I'm bummed - I like this family too, not that I plan on raising my children like that - but I admire them for it and am impressed by how they do it!

And nope, they aren't mormons. They are apart of an Evangelical Christian "Quiverfull" movement - where they believe in putting the number of children they have in the Lord's hands. Its from Psalm 127:3-5. There is a website - quiverfull.com if you want to read more...and no, I'm not following this movement, 3 kids will be enough for us :)
