some feedback would be nice...

As soon as I'm done entering my grades and comments (maybe Wednesday), I plan to put together the greatest Christmas playlist ever! Yeah, this one may actually top the NKOTB's Merry, Merry Christmas album. Hard to believe, I know.

So, here's where you come into play. I need to know what tops your list of favorite Christmas tunes. I can tell you right now that mine is O Holy Night. It doesn't matter who sings this song, I love it...any and all versions are lovely.

I must confess that I'm not a big fan of Christmas music. To me, it's like watching a movie over and over again...I don't find it all that fun. However, there are a few exceptions. So, now you might be able to understand why I need your feedback. Feel free to leave me a comment with some of your favorite songs - and please include the artist(s) as well.

Worth mentioning - I do not care for instrumentals, the Little Drummer Boy, or O Christmas Tree. Got it? But I totally favor Mariah Carey's, All I Want for Christmas. That's right, I said it.

I agree on all those songs mentioned! A few years back, my sis got the Christina Aguilera Christmas CD and it was AWESOME!!

MUST find Taylor Swift's "Silent Night". I'm not sure if it's on iTunes or not, but it's worth finding. :)

My two favorite albums are Sarah McLachlan's "Wintersong" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (but that's more instrumental). Enya has a Christmas Ep that's good too, and I like Coldplay's song "2000 Miles"

OOOH! This is a fun one. I haven't checked the blog in a while, i feel so behind. I'm gonna give you two of our fav songs, and they could not be more different! Bing Crosby, Mele Kalikimaka. It's a classic, terribly cheesy. But when the Andrews Sisters kick in somewhere in the middle, it's pure 50's bliss.
Sarah McLachlan's Wintersong is awesome. I tried to pick one song, I really did. But by the time I had a list of five, I figured it was hopeless. There are some modern ones, and the old traditionals. You just can't go wrong.
Good Luck!!!!

I'm late to the game and I also have to confess that I really love Christmas music (in December.) As a child of the '80s I still dig The Carpenters' Christmas Portrait album and the first two Amy Grant Christmas albums. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is probably my favorite song...it always makes me feel warm and cozy! And of course there's always Last Christmas by Wham!, Just Like Christmas by Low, and that classic Mariah Carey for the modern twist!

i've been very proud of my christmas mix this year. amy grant's 'home for christmas' album has been a classic in the keen/mahlum/yohann family for years. if you like a good mix, you should def check out 'now, that's what i call christmas.' it's a 2 disk set ~ one with all the classics (bing, nat, frank, etc.) and then another disk with more contemporary songs. my absolute favorite songs is from miss britney spears, pre-k-fed, called 'my only wish.' have fun and good luck!
